This site is for tech Q&A. Please keep your posts focused on the subject at hand.

Ask one question at a time. Don't conflate multiple problems into a single question.

Make sure to include all relevant information in your posts. Try to avoid linking to external sites.

Links to documentation are fine, but in addition you should also quote the relevant parts in your posts.

If the nameservers for a domain (e.g. ns1.example.com) are members of that same domain (example.com) DNS would normally be unable to resolve the domain (ns1.example.com must be known to resolve example.com, example.com must be known to resolve ns1.example.com). This circular dependency is broken up by so-called glue records in the parent zone (com for example.com), which are typically created by domain registrars.
