Shortly after installing GOG Galaxy (around the time Galaxy 2.0 was released IIRC) I had also set up Steam integration in the Galaxy client, and back then the synchronization did work (all games I had in my Steam library then are listed in Galaxy as well). But at some point the synchronization stopped working and new games from my Steam library don't show up in Galaxy anymore.

Deleting and re-creating the integration doesn't seem to fix the issue. Is the synchronization just terminally broken?

The cause of the problem is that the integration implementation that ships with Galaxy is outdated and doesn't work anymore. CDPR apparently can't be bothered to replace the broken code with the community integration code, so you need to do that yourself.

  1. First log out of GOG/Galaxy and completely exit from the program (GalaxyClient.exe must not be running).
  2. Next go to the plugin folder %LOCALAPPDATA%\GOG.com\Galaxy\plugins\installed\steam_ca27391f-2675-49b1-92c0-896d43afa4f8. Delete the the entire content of that folder, but keep the folder itself.
  3. Download the current version of the community integration (stable release at the time of this writing is v1.0.7) and unpack it into the same folder from which you deleted the old files.
  4. Start Galaxy back up and log in, then set up the Steam integration again.

Credit for this fix goes to kjdragonkiller on the GOG forums.
